Are you up to the challenge?

  • Anticipate and uncover solution partner challenges, then solve them by applying engineering skills and delivering on-point solutions to delight the customer.
  • Perform communication system design (satellite and terrestrial) and feasibility analysis to develop value solutions that intersect customer needs and Intelsat strategies.
  • Assist the channel managers to identify customer needs and drivers both technically and financially and collaborate with the channel manager through customer assessments, proposal development and the delivery of effective communications.
  • Develop and maintain trusting and collaborative internal and external technical customer relationships
  • Collaborate with the business unit and channel manager to develop an informed customer account strategy that clearly outlines business goals, action plans, solution and service pipelines for planning purposes to progress against goals/plans.
  • Develop and deliver a technical scorecard as part of the quarterly business review process with solution partner accounts.  
  • Assess an account’s existing infrastructure and implementation for best practices on the technical aspects of the Intelsat solution before making recommendations based on the account’s unique requirements.  This will often require collaboration with other functions including, Product Management, Operations and Engineering teams to ensure that the client is presented with a suite of options to meet their stated business and technical needs
  • Work with Engineering and Operations to ensure SLA’s and/or KPI’s are achieved and customer's expectations for service quality and resolution timelines are met
  • Serve as a point of escalation for all technical related projects and Service Requests once standard functional channels have been exhausted.

 

 

You should definitely have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Telecommunications Engineering
  • At least 3-years of recent, relevant experience including:
    • at least 1-year of experience in satellite ground segment, and/or broadcasting and/or telecoms.
    • experience in capacity management and/or systems engineering and/or other pre-sales engineering functions.
  • Effective English language communication skills, both verbal and written; including the ability to relate well with customers.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with people of various cultural backgrounds.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook). 
  • Knowledge of and ability to create accurate link budget analyses.
  • Intermediate knowledge of digital network communications and RF signal theory, digital satellite network architectures, IP networking.  Plus at least basic level knowledge of VSAT networks and platforms as well as TCP/IP protocol suite and network protocols (unicast/multicast, VoIP, IPsec, QoS).
  • Willingness and ability to travel the continent up to 20% of the time to meet business needs.
  • Ability to occasionally work additional hours as needed to meet business demands.
