This role focuses on the commercialization of Media services for the Americas region.  The role will partner with Sales and other groups within the Media Business Unit to ensure product alignment with market needs, customer business models, and eco-system partners.  The role will be to ensure that the entire Media portfolio is aligned with the market and customer requirements and to support Sales’ efforts, with an important focus on new services being launched.


Are you up to the challenge?

  • Act as the lead and subject matter expert for the America’s Media market. The scope is the entire Media product portfolio, with specific focus on new services recently launched or about to be launched
  • Develop the market growth strategy by region jointly with the local Sales team with specific focus on new services, new business and new logos
  • Define the distribution strategy for new products based on customer business models, where applicable
  • Coordinate market acquisition activities by region and/or countries as needed across Media BU, Sales and Marketing
  • Work in collaboration with Product Managers and Product Marketing for the:
    • Identification, creation and implementation of Sales tools and resources including market and industry analysis, templates, and reports
    • Definition and requirements for sales and partner training
  • Provide feedback on customer requirements for existing and next generation products
  • Serve as an Internal and External advocate for the America’s Media market
  • Provide support to the sales team on Media opportunities with specific focus on new services
  • Work closely with Product Development, Product Management, Sales, Strategy, Sales Engineers and customers to ensure product alignment with market needs and evolving customer business models, as well as competitive positioning in each region/country.
  • Participate in organization-sponsored events and campaigns


Can you drive these processes?

  • Identify opportunities for raising Intelsat’s profile in each region/country through the participation and attendance to relevant industry/trade shows, demonstrations and proof of concept trials, participation to trade associations, etc.


You should definitely have:

  • a 4-year degree from an accredited University (or an equivalent combination of education and work experience).
  • at least 10-years of relevant experience being involved in product management, sales and/or marketing within the Media or telecommunications arena with specific expertise in the Americas market.
  • effective English language skills, both written and verbal
  • willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally 20% to 40% as required to meet business demands.
  • ability to work under minimal supervision with wide latitude for independent judgment.
  • proven ability to manage multiple tasks in multiple disciplines, with well-developed organizational skills and outstanding interpersonal and networking skills.
  • technical competence with tools, software, operations, and project management.


It would be nice if you had:

  • a proven track record of supporting or leading high profile deals.
  • proficiency in Spanish or Portuguese
