Your role in helping us shape the future:


You will provide technical oversight and expert knowledge for the resolution of radio frequency (RF), interference events, service request and prompt response for network issues.

Additionally, you will be responsible for addressing and ensuing calls or emails for service requests from customers utilizing full-time resources are answered in a timely matter as well as perform site / platform surveillance, network infrastructure troubleshooting, and analysis cellphone backhaul traffic flow. In addition, you will provide the highest level of customer service, in-depth troubleshooting, technical support, analysis and service issue resolution to minimize service interruptions.  You will facilitate teamwork in support of the management team and technicians, focusing on collaboration with and mentoring/coaching of junior team members and professional development as a role model.


Are you up to the challenge?

(At least 70% of their time) Operational Support

  • Support customer’s remote site commissioning and troubleshooting.
  • Monitor full-time managed services as well as teleport RF/IF equipment, associated ground systems.
  • Utilize tools and demonstrate exceptional proficiency to troubleshoot RF or IP signals and demonstrate basic proficiency in a secondary skillset.
  • Participate in daily operational activities and long-term alarm surveillance, with the goal of eliminating/mitigating any operational impact to customers.
  • Respond to incoming customer calls / emails under SLA/OLA time requirements in a professional matter
  • Assist with the monitoring and execution all maintenance coordination activities, including IP routing as necessary.
  • Escalate and report on service issue corrective measures to the JNOC Manager
  • Consistently demonstrate the ability to adapt to new technology requirements, tools, and processes
  • Provide support for special projects, initiatives and focus groups
  • Create and review trouble tickets for RF interference issues or circuit events to ensure accurate documentation and all follow up actions are completed.


  (Up to 30% of their time) Operational Leader

  • Support the JNOC Manager in duties to include but not limited to technical oversight, introduction of improvements for operational response and customer service related task by coaching, mentoring and training peers.
  • Continue personal development of primary and secondary knowledge area and explore, develop, demonstrate proficient knowledge in other service areas
  • Conduct process reviews and provide tool development input to improve customer service delivery.
  • Provide input for the development of departmental workflow, review, update and write processes and procedures


You should definitely have:

  • Four-year college degree.
  • At least five years of commercial experience in a broadcast and/or data environment.
  • Current working knowledge of satellite, fiber, data and/or broadcast related equipment.
  • Must be able to work 24 X 7 rotating shifts, consistently demonstrate the ability to follow company guidelines in making decisions under stressful conditions in a multi-tasking work environment.
  • Must be able to proficiently convey technical issues equally to skilled and unskilled individuals.
  • Must be able to provide technical assessment of team members for yearly performance evaluation.
  • Must have and consistently display good team working, organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Must have experience working in a bilingual environment with written/verbal skills in Japanese as the primary language and English as the second language.
  • Must have basic computer skills and the ability to read and understand operational manuals for various test and/or measurement equipment.
  • Must support the terminal repointing project to transition the 4000 terminals into Network under the supervision of site manager.

  • Cisco and/or Gilat related certification is desirable.
