Your role in helping us shape the future:

Analyze revenue and Accounts Receivable (AR) and generate reports related to monthly, quarterly, and year-end close.  Perform contract reconciliations and billing monthly, also assisting with the setup of contracts in accordance with Company revenue and billing recognition policy and the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) of the US.  Prepare monthly invoicing contracts as assigned as well as assisting in all related transactions (AR collections, deobligations, funding status, contract close outs). This will include contract set- ups in MS Dynamics schedules for billing and revenue.


Are you up to the challenge?

  • Be responsible for the set up and maintenance of current and future contracts in MS Dynamics for your customer as assigned.
  • Consolidate weekly AR updates from the team and produce a report to management.
  • Generate and submit invoices for customers and contracts as assigned, including credit memo's, etc.
  • Assume responsibility for accounts receivable and revenue matters on assigned accounts, including contacting customers regarding unpaid invoices, etc.
  • Prepare revenue and billing schedules in Dynamics SL, in accordance with US GAAP and perform contract reconciliations.
  • Communicate with key stakeholders (may include management, Contracts, Legal, Sales, Program Management, customers) regarding billing or program requirements.


Can you drive these processes?

  • Adhere to established SOX controls, policies and procedures related to billing and revenue.
  • Manually track unbilled revenue and deferred revenue for your contracts.
  • Research revenue recognition concerns and provide basic guidance to involved parties, with manager's guidance.
  • Perform monthly revenue and AR reconciliations prior to monthly close to confirm all contracts' revenue and billings are complete for the month.
  • Prepare various revenue analyses, as requested.
  • Assist with demonstrations of SOX controls across the department and provide input regarding updates to current SOX controls.


You should definitely have:

  • Bachelor of Science in Finance, Accounting or equivalent
  • At least 3-years’ experience working with general ledger, GAAP, accounts receivable, collections and revenue analysis with some exposure to revenue recognition principles.
  • Strong working knowledge of the GAAP)and the accounting implications of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX)
  • Working knowledge of MS Office Suite, including strong proficiency in MS Excel skills.
  • Strong analytical skills to track funding requirements and work with contracts proactively to get funding in time.
  • Knowledge of the different type of government contracts (T&M, CPFF, FFP).
  • Understanding of labor hours, timesheets and contract labor requirements.
  • Ability to maintain an up-to-date understanding of Microsoft Dynamic SL.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to produce accurate and reliable reports in a timely manner under tight deadline.
  • Excellent interpersonal & communications skills, including the ability to work both independently and collaborative as part of a team
  • Ability to manage time effectively and flexibly to meet the needs of the busies (e.g. quarterly close, etc.)
  • U.S. Citizenship

  • Additional years of experience
  • Experience entering invoices into supply management platforms for government and commercial customers (e.g. Exostar, PKI, IPP, Transcepta, WAWF)
  • Experience preparing foreign currency billing
