Your role in helping us shape the future:

Join a team of highly dedicated and professional engineers whose mission is to maintain key systems and applications in support of capacity management and monitoring of Intelsat’s satellite fleet. We are looking for someone who enjoys the challenge of working with technology, business solutions, solving problems and providing highest level of quality service to our customers.

 

Are you up to the challenge?

  • Investigating, identifying, resolving and/or escalating software/ environmental issues.
  • Evaluating systems and application performance issues and providing recommendations for improvements.
  • Performing regression, system, integration, load and performance testing, interpreting results and reporting software bugs.
  • Working with developers and user community on understanding requirements and building test plans and cases.
  • Developing automated test scripts using automated testing tools/frameworks and maintain these suites.
  • Continuously monitoring the production environment and its dependencies for health and performance.
  • Providing 24x7 on-call support on a rotational basis.

 

Can you drive these processes?

Operational Support, Automation, Testing, Troubleshooting

 

You should definitely have:

  • Bachelors degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering
  • At least one to two (1-2) years of experience in support role or software testing.
  • Understanding of web applications and technology.
  • Full understanding of SDLC and testing methodologies.
  • Broad knowledge of computer network and hardware/software interface.
  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Solid communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Self-motivation and self-direction, with the ability to multi-task.
  • Enthusiasm about learning technology and expanding job knowledge.
  • Willingness to jump in and help to resolve issues.

 

It would be nice if you had:

  • Experience with automation testing.
  • Knowledge of databases (such as Oracle) and ability to perform basic queries in SQL
  • Experience testing API’s and RESTful web services.
  • Pervious programming experience
