The Principal Product Marketing Manager, Media will lead the development of market insights, differentiated product positioning and go-to-market messaging for Intelsat’s Media business and product portfolio.   Collaborate with the relevant product management teams to plan and launch new products to the market and evolve messaging and positioning of existing products. Collaborate with regional marketing group on product features, messaging, and value proposition, capture and address sales and customer feedback.   Drive development and track performance of marketing plans.  Execute campaigns that inform, engage and increase the sales funnel among existing and prospective customers.

 

Are you up to the challenge?

  • The Mediea Product Manager will work closely work with Product Management, Sales and other cross-functional teams to capture market insights, develop differentiated messaging and product positioning for the Media product portfolio.
  • Create compelling value propositions for each of the diverse products within the Media contribution and distribution portfolios
  • Collaborate with Integrated Marketing, Regional Marketing and Channel Management to convey messaging within the Media ecosystem, effectively increasing Intelsat's image and mindshare with existing and prospective customers and partners.
  • Empower regional marketing teams with product-related knowledge to enable development of speaking engagements, event strategy and messaging.
  • Create, maintain and share media product content to ensure that regional marketing has all of the necessary resources to market the company's products and services successfully.
  • Develop collateral and sales tool kit(s) for the product portfolio.
  • Through knowledge and actions, position yourself as the media marketing expert.
  • Act as Media product evangelist and actively support social media and PR efforts  for the company.
  • Understand customer segmentation and audiences within the media industry. Develop and convey segmented strategy and develop marketing plans in conjunction with integrated, regional, channel marketing teams.
  • Remain curious and monitor competitive offerings, assess and integrate findings into product marketing plans and messaging.
  • Create, maintain and share media product content to ensure that regional marketing has all of the necessary resources to market the company's products and services successfully.
  • Develop and communicate effective go-to-market plans and messaging across multiple constituencies in the organization
  • Develop a deep understanding of Intelsat's services portfolio particularly the media product portfolios and of customer needs across the globe

 

You should definitely have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business (or equivalent amount of education/work experience), with five (5) or more years of relevant experience, including extensive understanding and experience in product marketing.
  • Effective written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly in MS PowerPoint and MS Excel.
  • Must be proactive, autonomous and self-motivated.
  • Must be a strong team player with good leadership skills to push important initiatives, while also being accountable for driving product portfolio adoption.

 

It would be nice if you had:

  • Experience in the media or telecommunications industry
  • Experience working across geographies
  • Experience building conversation road maps
