Intelsat has recently launched an industry leading tool; which, streamlines service delivery and product management activities for one of the worlds most advanced global satellite & ground networks.  We are growing the team and seeking a candidate that has a desire to build the business by developing strategic relationships with Application / Solution Providers across the industry.  We are seeking to identify and certify a suite of best in class solutions & applications and integrate these into our service delivery platform.

You will focus on delivering value to end-users, across all verticals, that Intelsat services.  You will also serve as an internal champion by facilitating cross-functional approaches to servicing our current and future customer bases.  You will drive new business and partnerships both in existing markets as well as developing future marketplaces.   

 

Are you up to the challenge?

  • Collaborate with Intelsat Business Units/Product Leads to identify strategic partnerships in both the physical and digital delivery of services
  • Manage the process for the evaluation, testing/integration and certification of innovative application and 3rd party solutions, coordinating with support teams and key stakeholders
  • Lead the development and execution of a strategy and action plans, to achieve identified consumer outcomes by establishing critical goals and publishing key performance indicators
  • Develop and package solutions, for service delivery that may be comprised of multiple applications (software and hardware)

Can you drive these processes?

  • As the conduit between target application/solution partners and Intelsat, you will need to engage best-in-class solution providers, develop strategic partnerships and negotiate the relationships.
  • Employ “Design Thinking” methodologies to develop a strategy that identifies customer needs and gaps in Intelsat service delivery models.  Subsequently implement the tactical certification processes of application/solution providers. 
  • Lead the cross-functional development of training to inform the following audiences and ensure that the end-to-end delivery models are understood: Product, Sales, Marketing, Engineering, Operations, & external customers.
  • Lead the development of key performance indicators to establish a baseline by which success can be measured and regularly report achievements to leadership and affected cross functional teams.

You should definitely have:

 

  • A 4-year degree in Business, Business Information Technology, Telecommunications, or Satellite Engineering
  • A minimum of 5-years of relevant experience that includes developing product / program requirements and leading customer facing initiatives
  • Understanding of VSAT technology, service provider solutions, satellite and telecoms
  • A good understanding of cloud applications, that service providers employ for end-user service delivery
  • Exposure to the Atlassian Stack or similar digital product management tools
  • Strong project/program management skills
  • Effective English language skills both written and verbal
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite
  • The ability to understand the customer's business strategies to become an advocate for profitability on behalf of the customer.
  • The ability to establish role and evangelize throughout the organization. Shares knowledge, power and credit, establishing trust, credibility, and goodwill.

 

It would be nice if you had:

 

  • Led a previous applications development / customer experience related program in the Satellite or Telecommunications industry.
