This position supports the Planning process to maximize network utilization on Intelsat capacity and Intelsat products. Leveraging data analysis, the focus is on understanding, analyzing and communicating network performance to drive network optimization. Improve our forecast process in close coordination with Product/ Sales. This position will require autonomous work, coordination of cross-functional projects and accountability for communicating decisions and analyses to various stakeholders within the company.

Are you up to the challenge?

  • Under the supervision of your manager:
    • identify solutions for Deal Management when contention for inventory arises. Identify alternatives to support capacity allocation decisions.
    • supprt optimal allocation of services based on role strategy, application, operating environment suitability
    • assist with the technical feasibility evaluatin and recommend grooming and/or beam re-points in coordination within Solutions Development and Sales.
    • identify alternatives fr resolution of operational issues related to health/configuration/interference on assigned satellites
  • Designs and implements forecast models to assess impact on inventory of service offerings. Manage trend reporting on inventory availability for existing and new assets (pre-commitments).  Designs and implements dashboards to clearly communicate performance trends of note.
  • Maintain accuracy of commercial/allocation loading in inventory systems. Resolve inconsistencies through coordination with Deal Management and Sales Operations.
  • In coordination with the Asset Management Provisioning team support the optimization and/or maintain the operating environment to derive the highest performance for our assets.
  • Support Customer Solutions Engineering to provide options when solutions are not readily available.
  • Assist in the development of assigned satellite transition plans for existing and future satellites including commercial and strategic recommendations for continuation/non-renewal of services, if applicable.

You should definitely have:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Communications Engineering, Physics, Math or equivalent.
  • At least one year of relevant high tech experience.
  • Basic level knowledge of satellite link budgets.
  • Desire and ability to work in a highly collaborative environment which includes cross-functional teams and requires flexibility to successfully drive assigned projects.
  • Effective interpersonal skills and well-developed communication skills (oral, written, listening), including the ability to explain technical information to individuals without a technical / engineering background.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to effectively manage competing priorities and handle multiple projects independently
  • Computer literacy with MS Office Suite particularly with MS Excel and MS PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of analytic programming languages and data visualization tools.
  • Ability to present statistical analysis to non-technical users in a format that is relevant to and supports management decisions

 

It would be nice if you had:

  • Experience in satellite telecommunications.
  • Experience in Python and SQ.
