Your role in helping us shape the future:

The Associate Financial Analyst serves as a liaison between business operations and the Finance organization, analyzing, reporting on and interpreting financial data to assist with informed decision making. You will partner with leaders and peers from multiple internal groups to investigate the underlying drivers for the company’s performance and interact with management on a regular basis to deliver financial updates and develop budgets and forecasts. The Associate FA assists with the enhancement of financial tools, metrics and processes to drive operating performance and maintain an efficient process to analyze and report on various trends. You will also access data from a variety of systems and present accurate, meaningful and relevant information to diverse audiences.  

 

Are you up to the challenge?

  1. Produce monthly financial results packages for business unit, regional and/or functional managers, analyzing business drivers of material variances.
  1. Assist with the development of financial forecasts and budgets in coordination with business partners, consolidating and analyzing submissions for compliance with established targets. Periodically update financial forecasts based on new information or changes to the business, assist with the defense of forecasts using actual trends and revenue initiative targets.
  1. Maintain internal metrics (e.g. margin percentage, pricing, yield, price/volume, net new orders, backlog, KPIs) and produce standardized reporting for them that includes informative analysis.
  1. Assist team members and business customers to develop long-term strategic plans.
  1. Assist colleagues with the identification of revenue and opex outliers leveraging knowledge of accounting (e.g. ASC 606) and general business trends.
  1. Identify process improvement opportunities and work cross-functionally to implement these opportunities.

  • Support effort to streamline and automate monthly processes
  • Assist with reporting of quarterly financial results to investors and Board of Directors

 

You should definitely have:

  • Must have a Bachelors’ Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field with exposure to practical financial planning & analysis, accounting principles (including month-end close, accruals and charts for accounts optimization) and/or development of budget and forecast projections.
  • Must be able to analyze operational data and help develop timely and accurate presentations of the results (including design of informative tables and graphs where appropriate).
  • Strong written and oral communication skills required, including the ability to convey financial meaning and implications of reported data in succinct terms.
  • Strong organizational skills required, including the ability to manage priorities and complete multiple projects simultaneously
  • Must be able to work cross-functionally to analyze reporting requirements and develop an efficient process to meet them.
  • Must be able to work autonomously, i.e. recognize what needs to be done and do it with limited guidance from management.
  • Advanced Excel & PowerPoint skills required; experience with Business Objects and budgeting software helpful.
