This position supports the Planning process to maximize network utilization on Intelsat capacity and Intelsat products. Leveraging data analysis, the focus is on understanding, analyzing and communicating network performance to drive network optimization. Improve our forecast process in close coordination with Product/ Sales. This position will require autonomous work, coordination of cross-functional projects and accountability for communicating decisions and analyses to various stakeholders within the company with the guidance of the Manager.


Are you up to the challenge?

  • Designs and produces timely and meaningful analysis derived from commercial, performance and operational datasets.
  • Designs and implements forecast models to assess impact on inventory of new/revised service offerings.
  • Designs and implements dashboards to clearly communicate current and future performance and trends of note.
  • Assists with development, implementation, and documentation of quality assurance (QA) processes to ensure that reported data is accurate and reliable.
  • Creates and manages work plans that reflect the tasks, timeframes, and processes required to successfully complete each assigned project.
  • Achieves high-quality deliverables by assuring accuracy and thoroughness in executing projects.
  • Multitasks and handles multiple projects by effectively prioritizing work and effectively communicating workload conflicts to management.


You should definitely have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science or other quantitative discipline.
  • Intermediate knowledge of analytic programming languages and data visualization tools, including Python or SQL or Matlab
  • Computer literacy with MS Office Suite particularly with MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Word and SharePoint.
  • Some experience (typically less than 1-year) designing and building reports in multiple tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand new datasets and data structures.
  • Structured problem solving using complex data with excellent attention to detail.
  • Desire and ability to work in a highly collaborative environment which includes cross-functional teams and requires flexibility to assume lead or support roles.
  • Ability to present statistical analysis to non-technical users in a format that is relevant to and supports management decisions
  • Effective interpersonal skills and well-developed communication skills (oral, written and listening).


It would be nice if you had:

  • Understanding of Telecommunication and Satellite communications.
  • Ability to develop and produce complex reports and dashboards in Tableau.
  • Knowledge of software development and understanding of programming language.
