Your role in helping us shape the future:

We’re looking for a marketing operations leader who will collaborate across the marketing function to define and implement standards for project management and identify opportunities for efficiency and economies of scale into project execution.  The ideal candidate will possess superb organization and analytical skills and have experience managing complex marketing processes.  With an eye toward maximizing the utility of marketing employees, contractors and agencies, and meeting the needs of the sales organization, you will serve as an internal consultant to marketing leaders who run their own projects, helping to establish standards for marketing project management, ongoing optimization of project management through efficiencies and economies of scale, and deliver projects on time, to budget and specifications.  Lead strategic, large scale, cross-functional projects that affect the marketing function.  Collaborate with marketing leaders within Intelsat in the creation, socialization and troubleshooting of marketing performance reports and the annual marketing budget.  Manage a team responsible for the execution of global events. 

Are you up to the challenge?

  • Ensure that each marketing program and campaign, no matter its format, are executed properly and efficiently by implementing repeatable processes and programs for each marketing team to use
  • Lead the execution of global events within the organization
  • Manage multiple marketing event projects, including ownership of project brief, scope of work, resource allocation, facilitating approvals, and managing expectations and timelineEstablish and document organizational processes, driving governance and providing training and reinforcement for the teams
  • Monitor project performance using project KPI metrics, informing the project team and leadership of performance to timelines, budgets, and resources
  • Lead the continuous improvement and implementation of production discipline with the project management team
  • Maintain departmental process documentation, standards and templates, providing periodic training and reinforcing processes. 
  • Prioritize, sequence and manage projects according to resource availability and timelines aligned to business objectives
  • Coordinate budget planning and manage the project allocation process aligned to business objectives. Track actual marketing budgets against forecast and escalates potential misses to stakeholders and manager; and manage accruals
  • Produce, socialize and troubleshoot marketing performance reports that reflect results across the marketing organization in various formats including, for example media share of voice, event RoI, demand generation metrics, and digital marketing performance. The reports will utilize a variety of systems unique to each marketing function and require partnership with functional team leads to develop insights.  
  • Project-manage requests submitted to marketing (e.g. event attendance, content development, marketing tactic ideation, sales presentation development), manage and automate the intake process, route requests to the proper marketing team, and govern service-level agreements (SLAs) for review and/or delivery
  • Maintain provider relationships for renewals
  • Maintains staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting and training employees
  • Ensures a safe, secure and legal work environment where employees feel like they belong to a team.
  • Provides development opportunities to staff


You should definitely have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree
  • At least 10 years of experience in project management, particularly marketing-focused projects.
  • Experience managing concurrent events across the globe and marketing to global audiences
  • Effective leadership and demonstrated skills leading a team of creative and analytical talent
  • Data analysis and reporting experience using basic reporting tools, such as excel or tableau.
  • Market knowledge and technical understanding
  • Planning and process management
  • Customer service


It would be nice if you had:

  • Agency experience
  • Experience with marketing automation tools, such as Marketo and/or Salesforce.com
  • Experience marketing communications, networking, media broadcast or security services to businesses
