Your role in helping us shape the future:

Lead the development of new product concepts, including value proposition, positioning and go-to-market strategies for Intelsat’s Land Mobile business. Collaborate with the market and product development, sales and channel management teams to capture customer feedback and identify opportunities, while aligning product requirements to market value and Land Mobile revenue objectives. Responsible for product definition, business case, and lifecycle management; ensure that all stakeholders are engaged and supportive of go-to-market activities.


As the subject matter expert, familiar with existing and emerging industry and market trends, clearly articulate the product value, business vision, and Intelsat position to internal and external audiences. Drive development and track performance of insight-driven, integrated sales and marketing plans. Train the sales and marketing teams on product features, messaging, and value proposition. You will focus on successful product introduction, management, performance and revenue.

  • Develop and execute Intelsat's product and service strategy across all Land Mobile market segments.
  • Understand market trends and evolve the Land Mobile roadmap through ongoing evaluation and management of the product and service suite.
  • Assess value added service and application options that will enhance or drive new sales of Land Mobile services.
  • Drive the development and approval of business cases for new product concepts working within the Product Development Lifecycle (PDL) process.
  • Understand customer segmentation and audiences within product segment.
  • Develop and convey segmented strategic marketing plans in conjunction with integrated marketing and regional marketing teams.
  • Articulate product strategies and go-to-market plans to appropriate internal and external forums.
  • Work closely with Land Mobile market development, sales, channel management and marketing to identify opportunities across all vertical segments.
  • Benchmark competitive offerings, recommend partnership opportunities, and track industry trends that will impact the future of the Land Mobile market.
  • Coordinate with product marketing to build complete set of product information, including training and marketing collateral materials.
  • Support and/or lead training sessions on new products as needed.
  • Act as a liaison both internally and externally, in order to support the development and management of key vendor relationships.
  • Be a subject matter expert (SME) and grow working relationships with cross-functional teams throughout the company.
  • Build a reputation as a senior business leader by demonstrating product expertise, representing Intelsat as a speaker at industry conferences, and publishing white papers


Can you drive these processes?

  • Build and manage processes related to product and service concept development, including the creation, management and documentation of product requirements and associated deliverables.
  • Work with Land Mobile market development to create a feedback loop from the global marketplace to ensure that roadmap is aligned with market requirements and demand.
  • Monitor competitive offerings, assess and integrate findings into product marketing plans and messaging.
  • Ensure alignment on product roadmap and go-to-market strategies, including product positioning, value proposition, pricing and distribution strategies.
  • Facilitate user experience sessions through demonstrations and trials.
  • Liase with the sales and channel management teams on all product lifecycle issues, including features, pricing, contracts, service delivery and support.
  • Develop and manage relationships with third-party suppliers of hardware, application, and network capabilities, creating an ecosystem to enable end-to-end Land Mobile solutions.
  • Work with the Finance team to maximize product and service revenue, profitability, and operational product metrics.
  • Establish a metrics program and processes that identifies improvements and enhancements of Land Mobility offerings 
  • Coordinate regular and consistent communication of product roadmap with internal stakeholders.


You should definitely have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, technology or engineering
  • At least 10-years of product management experience including development and execution of product plans and strategies
  • Understanding of mobile communications technologies and concepts
  • Experience working with satellite and terrestrial networks and technologies
  • Experience managing the entire product lifecycle, interfacing with the product development, marketing, sales and channel management teams
  • Experience working with a diverse partner and customer base across global markets
  • Understanding of financial concepts to assist in business case development
  • Experience working in a matrixed environment and demonstrated ability to influence key stakeholders
  • A proactive, autonomous and self-motivated approach
  • Effective written and verbal communication and excellent presentation skills.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly in MS PowerPoint
  • Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills
