Are you up to the challenge?

 

  • Perform architecture, design and engineering functions for automation in accordance with accepted practices aligned with Asset Management and Company Standards
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to formulate and fully document requirements to improve business process and remove operation inefficiencies
  • Develop and implement high-quality, error-free inventory automation programs
  • Coordinate design and implementation of automation efforts with the project team
  • Ensure automation program quality is maintained
  • Simplify and customize (where needed) service activation process to support revenue stream generation
  • Document, implement, successfully integrate, and fully test customized developed solutions
  • Provide training to stakeholders of customized solutions
  • Promote automated solutions outside of Asset Management group for faster user adoption
  • Support maintenance as needed

You should definitely have:

 

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Communications Engineering, Physics, Software or an equivalent degree
  • At least three years of relevant experience in telecommunications
  • Experience in requirements gathering, and design and implementation of customized, automated solutions
  • Ability to present technical information to individuals without a technical / engineering background
  • Ability to synthesize high level strategic recommendations
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to effectively manage competing priorities and handle multiple projects independently
  • Solid programming experience with Python, R and related programming languages
  • Working knowledge of statistics and probability models
  • Data modeling experience
  • Computer literacy with MS Office365 Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio and SharePoint)
  • Creativity, professionalism, proactiveness and an interest in new technologies
  • Effective written and oral English language communication skills
  • Desire and ability to work in a highly collaborative and multi-cultural environment which includes cross-functional teams and requires flexibility to assume lead or support roles

It would be nice if you had:

 

  • Knowledge of SQL, PL/SQL or any other RDBMS
  • Knowledge of data visualization tools
  • Additional programming language
  • Knowledge or experience in satellite link budgets and satellite capacity loading
