This position supports the Planning process to maximize the yield on the Intelsat fleet. The holder of this position would be focused on developing, communicating, supporting and implementing role strategies in close coordination with products global accounts and Sales. This position will require autonomous work, coordination of cross-functional projects and accountability for communicating decisions and analyses to various stakeholders within the company.


Are you up to the challenge?

  • Develop and implement Flex inventory models to support commercial decision making.
  • Establish and manage an operational model for ongoing IntelsatOne Flex network contention stewardship.
  • Provide guidance as a subject matter expert on current Flex service demographics and usage, in association with competitive trend analysis.
  • Collaborate with Architecture, Network Engineering, Operations, and Government Solutions Development teams.
  • Manage trend reporting on inventory availability for existing and new assets (pre-commitments).
  • Be part of an energetic, focused, multi-skilled team with broad scope of work and engagement across Intelsat


Can you drive these processes?

  • Manage Intelsat Flex inventory to fullfill customers capacity demand


You should definitely have:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Communications Engineering, Physics or Math or an equivalent degree.
    • (An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered in lieu of the stated minimum education and experience requirements).
  • At least five years of relevant experience in satellite telecommunications.
  • Computer literacy with MS Office Suite, particulaory MS Excel and MS PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of satellite link budgets.
  • Desire and ability to work in a highly collaborative environment which includes working on cross-functional teams and demonstrating the flexibility to assume lead or support roles.
  • Knowledge of satellite transmission engineering and regulatory constraints for the FSS industry, satellite payload performance and earth station performance.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.  Ability to make strategic recommendations.
  • Effective interpersonal skills and well developed communication and skills (oral, written, listening).
  • Ability to present technical information to a non-technical audience.
  • Effectively able to manage competing priorities and handle multiple projects independently.


It would be nice if you had:

  • Programming experience with Python, R and related programming languages
  • Working knowledge of statistics
  • Data modeling experience
  • Knowledge of data visualization tools
